Winter Break 60
Winter Break 60
Click here to print off more Winter Break 60 scorecards!
Students know to keep our bodies healthy and fit we need to be physically active at least 60 minutes a day. Easier said than done in the summer, than the winter. So here is a challenge.
Use the Winter Break 60 scorecard and color in each day of Winter Break that you are physically active for 60 minutes or more. FAMILIES CAN DO IT TOGETHER. You can print extra copies for each member of the family. Students can return their Winter Break 60 Scorecard - signed by a parent - for a some recognition from me and be entered in a prize drawing! They are due January 8.
Of course, make sure you are active on most days - it doesn't need to be all.

Wall Ball Masters
Another successful and exciting Wall Ball Masters Tournament is in the books. Over 200 students from the thirteen 2nd-5th grade classrooms chose to participate.
Most impressive were the high-5's to opponents, the "Good Game"'s that were said, the support from classmates, and kids taking a chance to compete for fun. No tears were shed and no taunting or bragging was ever heard. Oh yeah, and the Wall Ball playing was amazing as well...simply jaw-dropping at times. Without further ado...

Fun with Pinkie & Blackie
Pinkie and Blackie are giant KinBalls...4 feet in diameter. They need at least three kids to lift them but can be held up with one pinkie!
The kids love them! Every time I bring them out, all kids aged 6-11 wave and shouted "Hi, Pinkie & Blackie!!!" We use them to do cooperation games, racing games, throwing games, and to just have a good chuckle.
Find your 1st or 2nd grader in a photo below!
